I had the pleasure of dining at the Athenian on a whim when I made a trip out to Seattle by myself in Jan. 2008. I had a cozy little table upstairs overlooking the bay. It had a nice home-like feel to it and was all around relaxing to gaze out the window. I have since been back to Seattle twice... and the Athenian has become the first breakfast stop I make

My grandmother used to tell me that her mother would take her to the Athenian when she was little. My favorite is the fish n chips and the fresh bread. Beers from around the world.
Love the sign on the cash register "Credit only if you are 99 and with your parents" too funny!
I live in the MidWest currently and Fish Fry as they call it here is nothing like fresh seafood from Pike Market and the Athenian! Can you tell I'm a bit homesick!

I am from San Francisco but have the great opportunity of working in Seattle once a month. I absolutely love the Athenian. The staff is friendly, the food and wine is great, and the view is priceless. Love your music too! Thanks for a great visit. See you next month!

We spent 4 days in Seattle and visited Athenian 4 times! Your drinks are cheap and your food is great! You made us feel like locals. Your view is drop dead, service is warm and the seafood bisque...WOW! Thank you!

I ate at the Athenian on my last day in Seattle on Aug. 17, 2009 I had the Seafood Bowl which I thoroughly enjoyed. Since my return to Durango Colorado on Aug. 18th I have had dreams of it. Would you share the receipe for the Seafood Bowl with me as I won't be able to return to Seattle on a weekly basis.
Thanks for a delicious and simple meal.

Being a come and go local, there are many things that spark love for Seattle in my heart. One that rises closest to the top is the Athenian Inn. Great Atmosphere and Great View - both out the window at Elliot Bay and of the local flair adorning the bar stools.
